Dej takes in the Italian sights

“I got to Montepulciano before shooting began.  The town is so pretty!  The square was outfitted with red banners, and extras in red cloaks.  I saw the procession of extras get all together and organized.

“I think I ‘saw’ the Twilight crew.  I was taking pics, and fans were behind a barricade.  I squeezed into a doorway.  Police and crew joined arms and ferreted the crowds away from the center of the narrow street in front of the tower.

“Then this dark windowed van crept through the crowds.  They were yelling ‘Robert’.  The van came within a foot of me.  I could only make out profiles.  I did not see RPattz’s crazy do. He must have already had hair and makeup.

“I am very sure I saw KStew and Dakota Fanning’s profiles.  DK was the tiny one.  KStew was the bored thin chick with stringy hair.  The security held up a blanket and let the passengers into a building.

“I also visited Volterra.  Montepulciano is prettier.”

Darn that goat!

We’ve should have known Dej has been working the phones behind our backs and hitched a ride with Chris, our Fan of the Week Emeritus from Las Vegas.

We love Chris, so we’re hoping that Dej plays it cool while he’s travelling the globe. We just don’t have the funds to bail him out if he gets thrown into Italian prigione. That’s prison for the rest of us.

The Italians don’t mess around. Especially with goats. Cuz they eat goats.

And apparently, Dej has absorbed the culture so much, he insists on being called Pranzo while he’s there. Of course, pranzo means lunch in Italian. And that is what he’s going to be when he gets backs to us Newborns.

Stay tuned as Pranzo as he makes his way around Italy. And keep our fingers crossed for a Pranzo/Rob encounter!

Déjeuner, our podcasting mascot and mountain goat extraordinaire, isn’t as shy as his namesake, Rob Pattinson (See OK! Magazine). As we revealed in Episode 17, Déjeuner met a lady friend in Hollywood. Christen and I still haven’t met her, but Dej did send in this photo.

We unconditionally and irrevocably give Lauren’s Bite credit for inventing Pocket Edward and his crazy adventures. It looked like so much fun we had to buy a Pocket Edward of our own.
