What Team Edward means to me….

What being on Team Edward means I am cheering for him and believe he should get to be with Bella.  I know Jacob is the logical choice but love isn’t logical.  Now does that mean I want Edward to my self? Of course! I think all women do but being Team ____ means you’re hopeful that the character will overcome the conflict in front of him.  Edward had to deal with deciding if being with Bella was right or wrong.

I think that there are teams in the twilight fandom for two reasons. One: just personal preference. They would just rather that Bella be with Edward and/or Jacob. Reason two: they LOVE Edward or Jacob and want them to be with them. Like you both want Edward and Robert for yourselves not Bella. I personal love Jacob. For one he is beautiful, he knows the right things to say, he would let you do what you wanted whenever (unless it would be with Edward) unlike Edward. Edward just cares to much and Edward does pressure Bella into doing things like getting married. Because everyone who has read the books knows one of the reasons Bella married Edward was for the sex. But whenever Bella is with Edward it’s akward. The biggest reason I think Jacob would have been a better choice is because bella and Jacobs feelings for each other are natural. But Bella and Edwards love is based on curiosity and enfacuation (or however you spell that). Edward can’t read bellas mind it bugs him he’s curious to know why. Bella likes him because he’s beautiful. I got totally off subject. I feel being on a team jacob is both who I want to be with both bella and myself. And he’s just my personal preference. And to end it all I am and will be forever team jake.

Jacob Black is a werewolf, with tanned skin, brown eyes, very tall and a kind personality. Edward Cullen is a vampire, pale, marble like skin, golden eyes, and very protective.

I am the palest white you have ever seen, most people think I’m sick most of the time. So, because Jacob is so tanned, if I stood beside him then id look like a ghost and id rather not. Edward is pale so that I would totally blend in with him and we could be two white “ghosts” prancing down the street together.

I know its crazy but Taylor Lautner kind of ruins Jacob Black for me. I know, I know he’s ‘sooo hot!!’ but he isn’t my kind of guy. But I don’t hate “Jacob Black”. I understand why he is so clingy to Bella and why he felt he couldn’t just give up Bella to Edward without a fight. I understood him more after I finished Breaking Dawn.

I still can’t help but feel a little resentment towards him for what he did in Eclipse though. That was just going a litttle too far — far enough for me to growl (more meow) at the book and shout at typed text. But I have to congradulate him for breaking Bellas hand because if he hadn’t kissed Bella (haha) then Bella wouldn’t have broken her wrist and so Edward wouldn’t have come and threatened Jacob and then Charlie wouldn’t have been able to “try” to split up the “fight” over Bella. Oh Charlie J

I used to be Team Switzerland but meh…I’ve come to terms and have “grown up”.

I am Team Edward, because as masochistic and complicated their relationship might be at times, they are still the definition of that electrical, passionate, neverending love that we all seek and hope to grab one day. He ties her all together and makes her one happy little woman in a way that Jacob never could. She LOVED Jacob, but she could live WITHOUT him — not so with Edward. I am a firm believer that Bella might’ve died (J), had Edward not come back into her life. I am Team Edward for Bella Swan.

Why I am Solidly Team Edward

Why do I love thee, Edward Cullen, let me count the ways! I play for Team Edward because he is my definition of male perfection. Aside from his hot, hot, hotness (perfectly embodied in Mr. Pattinson, thank you very much) his personality is what I adore in a lad.  His style is hip and modern, but inside there’s an old soul (literally!!) He believes in romance, he’s passionate about music (love them musicians!) and he has a quiet confidence without being cocky. Sure he may go overboard in his desire to protect the thing he loves … but his tendency to overreact I see is a byproduct of his artist’s passion and (overly) analytical mind. I think the river runs very, VERY deep with our dear Mr. Cullen and though his brooding can be frustrating at times, we always forgive him when he breaks out the famous “Cullen charm” and that crooked smile that leaves us breathless (also, perfectly executed by RPatz)!

I think that being on “Team Edward”, for me, means loving and adoring all things that make up Edward, and part of that is his love for Bella. Yes – perhaps he is not the “safe” choice for Miss Swan, or the practical, easy or even smart choice. But without Bella coming into Edward’s life, he would have never found love, redemption and hope. It was necessary for Bella to come into his life and pull him out of his 80 year funk. And he could never have fallen in love with anyone other than her, I believe. As Stephanie alluded to in Midnight Sun, perhaps some angel had created Bella specifically for him. He cannot read her mind – so he actually has to pursue her, and she intrigues him because of this. She has no natural fear of “his kind” like she should, and she naturally attracts danger, which he feels he’s been sent here to protect her from. Although I love and adore EC, I do not feel as part of “Team Edward” that he should be for me. I whole-heartedly would concede him to Bella, his true love, but it doesn’t mean I still cannot adore him from afar (swoon).

Now as for Jacob, I HATED him on my first reading of the series after Eclipse (I believe I was channeling Edward). But after Breaking Dawn, I finally decided I could accept him and actually started to like him (a little) after reading Jacob’s Book in BD. Although he is also beautiful and smart, his personality traits are things that I AVOID in men. Like his tendency to be rash and not think things thorough, his immaturity and his obvious cockiness. He may be good for Bella in an everyday “rematch” sense, but I think if she fell for Jake, it would be just like falling for any other High School boy — (who bursts into furry wolfishness). It’s totally fine with me if Jake were to forever be placed in the dreaded “friend-zone”. But, if you’re looking for loyalty in a friend – he’d definitely be a good one to have! There! I’ll throw a bone (*sicker, snicker*) to Team Jacob!!

He’s a stand up guy and before marriage he refuses to ‘sin’

Sure, I guess anyone would be lucky to have ol’ Jakey-pooh
But Mr. Sparkleface has raised the bar and he’s sure to woo

If nothing else, his dazzle stare will win ya o’er
Come on, gotta love a man that’s more mature and older!

Oh yeah…. Did I mention he sparkles like diamonds in the sunlight?
