I agree with Luxy, The Haunted Airman was way to bizarro and sick to enjoy RPatz in. I even like art house films, but this was trying to be artsy and just came off creepy. I don’t blame Rob, he was new to acting and he was pretty decent, but the directing, script, editing and other actors (ahem, Julian Sands) were just gawd-awful!! I say we just put the past behind us (including Little Ashes) and move on to Remember Me, Bel Ami, Eclipse and BD!!

thanks, luxie. i agree about your thoughts on Little Ashes. That whole scene with Dali watching Federico with a girl….most disturbing. I also had trouble understanding the dialogue at some points in the film…though that could just be me. I might need a little bit of break before i check out The Haunted Airman. I doubt i could get Christen to watch it. She’s not really into Art Films

I think you’re pretty much right on ’bout ‘Little Ashes.’ It happened to be on IFC. Its apparent that he delved head first into Dali. But you’re right, it just wasn’t a very good movie… There’s many snore, yawn worthy parts throughout the film. But there are a couple of weird moments to where you don’t want to look but you can’t help but stare.. like the part where Dali’s bawling and simultaneously doing the ‘hand job workout’ to himself while he watches Federico get busy with his gf.

Oh and btw…
Saw Haunted Airman .. even worse than Little Ashes IMO. Its slow, Bizarre, and the storyline itself is just strange. He’s in love with his Aunt (non blood related, but still..), he has technophobic nightmares, and the ending is nonsensical. I won’t go any further since y’all haven’t seen it yet… Would love to hear your guys’ review on it. I’m sure you guys would have a lot to say, lol.
